A New Chapter with Mirror
Both Mirror and Paragraph have always shared a common goal: to empower creators with the tools needed to own direct relationships with their audiences, and to unlock powerful new monetization & distribution models. Now that Paragraph is uniting with Mirror, we'll be positioned to accelerate our mission and expand our support to an even wider array of creators.
I'll continue to be CEO, and Denis Nazarov, the founder of Mirror, will remain as an advisor.
In the nearterm, publishing on both Mirror and Paragraph will continue as usual. We'll be spending the next several months having conversations with creators to determine what a single great choice for onchain publishing might look like.
Our $5m Fundraise
We're also excited to announce that we've raised $5m, led by Union Square Ventures with participation from Coinbase Ventures. Fred Wilson, Nick Grossman and the rest of the USV team have been thinking about the intersection of publishing & digital ownership for as long as anyone and we're thrilled to not only partner with them, but to also welcome their newsletters to Paragraph.
And, with support from industry leaders like Coinbase and Base, we'll ensure that publishing onchain is as seamless & accessible as possible.

Big news! We first tried setting up a Mirror profile but publishing on it didn't seem to work as we experiences some bugs. But then we found Paragraph which worked flawlessly and has even more options like refering other newsletters for example. We never looked back! Now, the fact that the 2 biggest Web3 publishing platforms are joining forces is great for the industry. Congrats!

What's the tldr on the result of Paragraph acquiring Mirror? Will accounts & associated articles be brought over?
Hoping to share more on this soon, but tldr is: - we want to build a single great onchain writing product - accounts/content will be migrated seamlessly - editing, minting, creating should all be very familiar
They will merge at some point, they haven't publicly announced when though. Mirror and Paragraph for now will stay separate companies, Mirror focuses on working on an ecommerce focused Farcaster client called Kiosk. Please correct me if I'm wrong @paragraph @colin 1/2

Richly deserved, @colin. As you know, I've worked in publishing + editorial for decades, and there's a long list of pain points. Paragraph is opening possibilities for writers of the sort I've always wished for, but didn't believe I'd see in my lifetime. Wishing you and the whole Paragraph community much success.
